NORFOLK (AP) -- The Virginia Supreme Court has refused a death
The court dismissed Anthony Juniper's appeal, saying it could not find any error in its previous decision.
Juniper was sentenced to death for the 2004 murders of his former girlfriend, her two children and her brother in Norfolk.
The ruling was first reported by The Virginian-Pilot.
Juniper was one of two death row inmates who sought to introduce new evidence in their appeals based on the criminal conviction of Robert Ford, a lead investigator in their cases. Ford was convicted of extortion and lying to the FBI in October. He retired in 2007.
A judge rejected their arguments that Ford played a key role in their cases' verdicts.
Juniper still is guaranteed federal appeals.
