GLOUCESTER The parents of a girl found in a makeshift cage appeared in court Tuesday.

Authorities found the 6-year old girl at a mobile home in Gloucester back in April after a burglary investigation led them there.

Brian and Shannon Gore face multiple charges in connection with the six-year old as well as the 2007 death of another child.

On Tuesday, a judge ruled there was enough probably cause for charges of felony child neglect and attempted murder to go to a grand jury. The grand jury is scheduled to convene in Gloucester County Circuit Court on January 3.

As for the death of the infant son found buried under the shed in the back yard, it was ruled there was not enough evidence to show the couple killed their son. The grand jury could; however, decide to bring the murder charges back.

Deputies said the girl was found naked, covered in feces, and malnourished. She was in a crib that had been made into a cage with a piece of wood as a top.

The girl was treated and released from Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters. She is now 7 and living with a foster family. She attends school and recently went to Disney World.

The couple's infant was put in the care of Child Protective Services.
