SUFFOLK-- Police were on the scene of a school bus accident Thursday afternoon. The collision involved a Nansemond-Suffolk Academy school bus.

The crash happened in the 1900 block of Sleepy Hole Road and the intersection of Nansemond Parkway.

Police say that around 3:33 p.m. a 2003 Toyota sedan struck the bus sending the driver and a passenger to Sentara Obici Hospital with injuries that were not life threatening.

Students were on the bus but there no injuries reported. The students were safely removed from the bus.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
