VIRGINIA BEACH-- Police have charged a Norfolk man with murder in the killing of Virginia Beach woman Monday afternoon.

Officers found 29-year-old Mandi Myers at her home in the 1500 block of Hiawatha Drive about 3:00 p.m. and pronounced her dead at the scene.

Police say the suspected killer stole Myers' car and a firearm, but the stolen weapon was not used in the homicide.

Authorities later found Myers' vehicle and gun and arrested 29-year-old Jamiel Douglas Graves of the 9300 block of Marlow Ave. in Norfolk.

Graves is charged with second degree murder and auto theft. He is currently being held in the Va. Beach jail on no bond.

Tuesday morning, Norfolk police found a deceased person in a home in the 9300 block of Marlow Ave.

Virginia Beach and Norfolk police are still investigating both cases and have not said whether the incidents are connected.
