PORTSMOUTH-- Police are searching for a suspect who they say shot and killed a man at a Portsmouth house party on Dec. 2.

Police have charged 20-year-old Calvin Alexander-Lamon Kitt with the shooting death of 23-year-old Marquise Terry.

The Portsmouth man died from injures sustained during a shooting at a party in which a second person was also injured.

Terry and another victim were shot inside a home in the 1300 block of Highland Avenue.

Police say an altercation broke out when the two victims forced two other men to leave the party.

When the two men returned, they fired into the house, hitting Terry and the second victim.

Terry was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital and died on Tuesday from his injuries.

The other victim was treated and released.

Police say Kitt is considered armed and dangerous.
