UPDATE 2/6: Police say Curtis Jones Sr. was arrested Wednesday on charges of two counts each of rape, aggravated sexual battery and abduction with intent to defile.

Police say additional charges are forthcoming.

Jones is currently being held without bond at Western Tidewater Regional Jail.

According to police, the incidents occurred over a several year period involving a female victim who was a juvenile at the time.

SUFFOLK -- Suffolk police are seeking the public's assistance in locating a suspected rapist.

Curtis Jones Sr., 54, is wanted on charges of two counts of Rape, two counts of Aggravated Sexual Battery, and two counts of Abduction with Intent to Defile, according to the Suffolk Police Department.

The female victim, who is known to the suspect, reported the incidents occurred between the dates of Jan. 20 and Jan. 24. The investigation is still ongoing.

Jones is described as a black male, approximately 5-foot-11 and 145 pounds.
