NORFOLK -- A man was robbed near off-campus housing for Old Dominion University students.

An alert was sent out around 6:20 a.m. Thursday about the Wednesday night robbery near the Village 3 apartments, which are off Killam Avenue and 45th Street. The alert said the person was walking alone and was approached by four men who took items from him and ran off.

Norfolk Police and Old Dominion University are investigating; the victim wasn't hurt.

Norfolk Police and Old Dominion University are investigating a robbery that was reported to have occurred on Wednesday, April 16 at approximately 9:45 p.m., near the Village 3 apartments. The victim was walking alone when four males approached him and demanded personal property. The suspects took the property and fled on foot towards 40th Street. The suspects did not display any weapons and the victim was not physically injured.

The suspects are described as four black males, in their early 20's, last seen wearing:
Suspect #1: red hoody with black pants
Suspect #2: black hoody with yellow pants
Suspect #3: white hoody with black pants
Suspect #4: black hoody, no further information provided at this time

Old Dominion University Police encourage the campus community to follow personal safety practices:
Walk along well-lit pathways and in pairs when possible
Promptly report suspicious persons and activity to the police
