SUFFOLK -- A Suffolk student had a knife on school grounds, authorities say.

On Thursday, the knife fell out of the boy's pocket at Turlington Woods School, said City spokeswoman Diana Klink.

She says the student didn't know it was in his pocket and he immediately gave the knife to the teacher.

Klink stressed that no threats were made.

Turlington Woods is a daytime alternative program for middle and high school students who have been removed from their assigned school for disciplinary infractions, according to its Web site.
