SUFFOLK -- A 12-year-old Suffolk student is facing expulsion after allegedly bringing an unloaded pellet gun to school Monday.

According to school officials, a student told a resource officer at John F. Kennedy Middle School Monday around 2 p.m. that another student may be in possession of a pellet gun.

The student's school bus was stopped, searched and an unloaded pellet gun was discovered, officials said.

The student has been suspended facing an expulsion hearing.
