UPDATE 6/4: The child transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is now listed in stable condition.
NORFOLK -- A young child is one of four people who were hurt in a three-car crash in Norfolk Wednesday morning.
According to police, a Honda Civic crossed into on-coming traffic in the 3100 block of Azalea Garden Road and collided head-on with an Expedition. The Civic then crashed into a Suburban.
Two juveniles and an adult woman who were in the Civic were transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
Police say a four-year-old girl has life threatening injuries. The other two are being treated for injuries considered non-life threatening.
The man driving the Expedition was also transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The investigation into the crash continues. Alcohol doesn't deem to be a factor, police said.
No charges had been placed by mid-morning.
Part of Azalea Garden Road was closed for the investigation and reopened just after noon.
