NORFOLK-- Police released surveilance pictures Monday night of the man they say robbed the Lowe's on N. Military Highway Sunday.

The man with a gun held up the store around 2:30 p.m., robbing the lone cashier in the outdoor garden section.

'I could have lost my life over $200,' says Courtney Sawyer, who says she he man jumped from a bush and told her to hand over all the cash.

She says she was having trouble getting the register to open when he cocked the gun and pointed it at her chest.

'All I could think about was my three-year-old daughter losing her mother,' Sawyer adds.

She says this was a wake-up call that she needs to focus on her goal of finishing school and pursing her dream job in criminal justice.

After getting money, the robber drove off in an older model blue pickup truck that had been parked on the south side of the building.

The suspect is white, 30-35 years old, six feet tall, weighs around 170 pounds and has blonde hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a red baseball cap, orange shirt, khaki pants and black tennis shoes.

Two of the pictures released Monday show the alleged robber and one shows the truck police believe he was driving.

Anyone with information about this robbery should call Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
