HAMPTON-- We're coming up on the last weekend before the election, and campaigns are sending in the big guns to Hampton Roads.

First Lady Michelle Obama was at Hampton University Friday afternoon encouraging grassroots supporters to elect her husband to a second term.

She told the crowd her husband understands the American dream because he lived it. But, she said President Barack Obama is never satisfied and he wants to do more for Americans and the United States.

'We still have a long way to go to completely rebuild the economy . But, there are more and more signs everyday that we are on the road to recovery,' said Mrs Obama.

The First Lady told supporrters the President won election four years ago by a narrow margin in Virginia and the race could be tight again this year.

She encouraged supporters to cancel their plans for the weekend and spent at least four hours knocking on doors or calling people to make sure they get out and vote on Tuesday.

'Just one vote in a neighborhood, or one vote in an apartment building could make the difference.' said Mrs. Obama.
