NORFOLK-The grand jury will hear evidence against the man accused of killing his neighbor and putting her body in his closet.

A charge of 2nd Degree Murder against Jamiel Graves was certified to the June 5 Grand Jury, said Commonwealth's Attorney spokeswoman Amanda Howie.

Graves is accused of killing 26-year-old Phylicia Robinson in November 2012. She lived in one side of a duplex on Marlow Ave. in Ocean View and Graves lived in the other.

At his preliminary hearing Wednesday, prosecutors entered into evidence his interview with investigators. They say Graves admitted putting Robinson in a blanket and in the closet. They also said Graves said he 'guessed he strangled her like he did Mandi.'

That's a reference to Graves' ex-girlfriend, Mandi Meyers, who found dead in her Va. Beach apartment in November as well. Graves is charged with her murder.

He's due in Va. Beach Circuit Court for a motions hearing on July 16, said Va. Beach Commonwealth's Attorney spokeswoman Macie Pridgen.
