NORFOLK -- Each year, most Hampton Roads school districts build in additional days in case of closing due to inclement weather, but those built-in days were used after last week's snow.

Now districts are turning to their 'plan b' with more snow predicted this week. Most districts will pluck teacher-workdays scheduled for the spring to help make-up the deficit.

The districts that tell 13News Now that they will consider Presidents Day as a make-up include: Newport News, Isle of Wight County and Norfolk. Suffolk confirms that students will go to school on Presidents Day on Feb. 17th to make up for missing Friday, Jan. 24.

Norfolk, Virginia Beach and Suffolk could designate Memorial Day as a make-up day. Beach and Suffolk officials say, if multiple days are missed, they could bring kids in on a Saturday.

Other districts say the make-up days will be at the superintendent's discretion.
