CURRITUCK COUNTY -- The Currituck County Sheriff's Narcotic and Swat Team began rounding up offenders Thursday following a lengthy narcotics investigation.

The investigation concentrated on upper level suppliers, mid-level dealers and those who conspired with them to distribute illegal narcotics in Currituck County, officials said. They obtained 32 indictments.

In the year-long investigation, the narcotics officers purchased heroin, crack cocaine, powder cocaine, marijuana, prescription pills, suboxine and mushrooms.

There are currently six pending warrants.

The Currituck County Sheriff's Office released mugshots for 12 of the suspects. The remaining photos wouldn't be available until Monday, a spokesperson said.

The following people were arrested on drug-related charges:
