NORFOLK -- Children are still enjoying summer vacation, but it will soon be time to head back to school.
Norfolk youngsters up to age 20 can get free dental screenings at the Little Creek Dental Clinic, which is located at 207 East Little Creek Road.
'The screenings are used to assess dental health and to assist in the detection of disease or other health issues,' said Norfolk Health Dept. spokesman Terrance Afer-Anderson. 'These are not complete exams.'
The screenings are weekdays from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. until September 6. After that time, parents should call for an appointment for screening or examination at 531-2133. No documents or registration required for screening.
You don't need to register or make an appointment and you don't need to bring any documents with you. You can just walk into the clinic during those hours, he stressed.
