What would you do with $250,000?

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WVEC) -- Two men from Newport News won the lottery on Tuesday.

Dandy Ibas won $250,000, and Darryl Chapman won $100,000.

Ibas was on his lunch break when he purchased his lunch and the winning $250,000 Money Mania ticket at the Wawa at 12093 Jefferson Avenue in Newport News.

“I couldn’t even eat my lunch after that,” he said.

The odds of winning that top prize are 1 in 367,200. He said he plans to save his winnings for his children’s college.

Chapman won $100,000 in the Cash 5 game. He kept his cool for as long as he could.

“Once I got by myself, I jumped up and down and screamed,” he said.

He matched all five winning numbers in the February 22 night drawing with a ticket he bought at Roy’s Quick and Serve located at 2903 Shell Road in Hampton.

He randomly picked his ticket numbers, and he said he has no immediate plans for his winnings except to pay bills.
