The uncle of the three victims with their friend in Berkley Saturday night said the group had been at a family party minutes before the shooting.

Sesil Jenkins told 13News Now the family was celebrating a relative's wedding at his brother's home.

His nephews -- the youngest of whom is a 17-year-old -- left the party to run to a convenience store.

While they and their friend were walking back to his brother's house, a car approached them on Craig Street.

Someone in the car put down a window and started shooting at them shortly after 10 p.m.

"This could've happened to any other family, just randomly. If my nephews were gangbangers and you went after them, I wouldn't be standing here today. I'd let them live it down whatever way they have to live it down, but they're not," said Jenkins.

One person who lives near the scene of the shooting told 13News Now, "I heard about six gunshots. I was back there in the kitchen and heard about six gunshots."

Medics took Jenkins' nephews and their friend to the hospital.

One nephew and the friend have to have surgery.

Sunday, and outraged Jenkins asked, "Parents, mother, father, where are your children? Where? Where are your children? Are you checking in their bedrooms? Are you supervising them at such a young age, babies? What's going on? What are you doing?"

Norfolk officers were in the area at the time of the shooting and witnessed a vehicle speeding away from the scene. A chase began when officers attempted to stop the car. The chase came to an end when the suspects struck two occupied cars. Following a short foot pursuit, the driver and all three passengers were taken into custody. The arrest took place in the 1600 block of E. Indian River Rd.
