Madison Kimbro joined the 13News Now Daybreak team in June 2019.

Born in Los Angeles, Madison was raised in Santa Monica, California. A true lover of the West Coast, it was a true culture shock when she and her family moved to Chapel Hill, North Carolina in 2004.

While it took a lot of time to adjust, Madison stayed through college and attended The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. It was during college that she interned for both WNCN, now a CBS-affiliate station and their Lifestyle Show, "My Carolina Today,” in Raleigh, North Carolina.

After college Madison got the opportunity to move back to the West Coast, this time to Arizona, where she spent two-and-half years reporting and anchoring in both Yuma, Arizona and Imperial Valley, California. While there, she covered an array of hard-hitting news stories about immigration, Border Patrol, local crime, healthcare, and even agriculture.

Throughout her time in Arizona, Madison also co-hosted a radio weekday morning show on KQSR Mix 100.9 FM.

While reporting on hard-hitting news stories enabled Madison to grow as a reporter, her true passion lied within the community and with lifestyle reporting.

Her passion for lifestyle reporting is what led her to Norfolk, Virginia where she now gets to report on everything fun, trending and entertaining in the area of Hampton Roads!

Watch her weekday mornings on 13News Now Daybreak ‪from 4:30 a.m. -7 a.m.‬ and on 13News Now at noon.
