NORFOLK, Va. — Happy April Fools' Day!

For everyone who lives for pranks, today is your day! For everyone else, you might want to stay off social media and just sleep through it.

Some local organizations used their social platforms to try and trick their followers.

Waterside District shared its excitement of the BigSplash coming this summer. It's a huge water slide with two routes that will dump you out in the Elizabeth River. They even went so far as to create a Facebook event for opening weekend.

Do you like sitting by the pool with a good book? Well, Virginia Beach Public Library told their followers it was bringing the pool to its Central Library branch equipped with a water slide from the second floor to the first.

💦 We have a splashy new way to travel from the second floor to the first at Central Library as part of our renovations. Try it next time you visit! 💦

If you've never had Chick-fil-A Sauce then you don't know what you're missing. Chick-fil-A Christopher Newport thought it would be funny to prank its customers with a post about a Chick-fil-A hand-spun milkshake for a limited time.

New flavor coming soon! We are so excited 😋😂.....

Kill Devil Hills Police Animal Control Division posted about a pet that needs to be reunited with his owner. The division believes its either an Argentine Pila or an American Hairless Terrier.

He seems to enjoy bacon flavored Beggin' Strips, if that helps...

See if you can spot the prank from the Norfolk Botanical Gardens?

The Virginia Zoo and the Virginia Beach Aquarium & Marine Science Center swapped Facebook accounts for the day. The Zoo was posting about Aquarium news and vice-versa.

We'll be keeping our eyes out for other pranks.
