Chesapeake family raises six orphaned ducklings

If this doesn't renew your hope in humanity, we don't know what will.

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — How sweet is this? One Chesapeake family stepped up to adopt six babies into their family...baby ducklings, that is.

Matthew Cox passed this sweet story along to 13News Now, explaining that after six ducklings were orphaned in late April, he, his wife and daughter rescued them and ensured their growth and safety.

A couple of months have passed now and the babies are starting to fly and forage for themselves.

And just like you see a flock of ducklings following their parents around, Cox says they followed him around everywhere.

From helping him weed the garden, working outside and devouring his bait while he fished, they've been a joy to have around, according to Cox.
