NORFOLK, Va. (WVEC) -- Submit your favorite recipe for a chance to win a $1,000 gift card and an opportunity to help the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore.
Fruitive, a local eatery, partnered with the food bank to create the "Ingredients for a Healthy Community" campaign and recipe contest.
Starting now, you can submit a recipe using minimal of three seasonal organic ingredients through the Fruitive website.
The top three recipes will be recreated via cooking video on Fruitive's Facebook page, where the public will get a chance to vote on their favorite one.
The winner will receive a $1000 gift card to Fruitive, and their dish will be offered at all Hampton Road’s locations for the month of November.
All profits from this specialty menu item will go directly to benefit the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore.
