Ride on, Norfolk. Ride on. The city's bike share program is back.

Pace bikes return to Norfolk for another year. The city's fleet of shareable bikes is up to 200. There are 39 stations where you can borrow and return them.

NORFOLK, Va. — Norfolk's bike share program is back for another season. Pace bikes are available in the city beginning on Friday, March 15.

The city said its fleet is up to 200 bicycles. The bikes are available for people to borrow at 39 stations. The same stations double as return points for the bicycles.

The city took the bikes out of circulation during the winter months. Workers took advantage of that time to overhaul the bicycles.

People can use the bikes for quick commutes in Norfolk. They'll find some new pricing options available this year, too.

Last year, people took more than 45,950 trips on Pace bikes and rode for a total of 17, 295 hours to places throughout Norfolk.

Anyone interested in using the Pace bikes should download the Pace app.

To mark the return of the program, the city invited everyone to be part of a group ride at noon on March 15. The ride will leave Norfolk City Hall's Civic Plaza. People who are interested in joining the relaunch ride can register for it here.
