Chesapeake woman's pet fox is missing

An unusual pet has gone missing in Chesapeake.

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WVEC) — An unusual pet has gone missing in Chesapeake.

Emily Lusk's pet fox, Seito, went missing from the Brentwood area of Chesapeake on the Portsmouth line on Tuesday. According to Emily's Facebook post on Lost & Found Pets - Hampton Roads, Va., her roommate let the fox into the garage, where he was able to escape.

The little micro-chipped fox has a scruffy coat because he is an indoor fox and his winter coat comes and goes pretty quickly.

Emily has a permit through the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries to have the 2-year-old Seito.

Seito is a friendly fox, who will try and play with other dogs. According to Emily, he has brain damage, so he isn't as quick or smart as regular foxes.

A reward of $800 is being offered for the safe return of Seito.
