NORFOLK, Va. (WVEC) -- IHOP locations around Norfolk are teaming up to raise money for projects to help military families. And in return, you'll get a free stack of pancakes!

On Wednesday, IHOP restaurants will kick off their annual fundraising campaign to support the Armed Forces Families Foundation.

AFFF is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping military families.

Nearly 400 corporate and franchise Taco Bell and IHOP locations are participating in this year's annual fundraising drive, which lasts through Nov. 21.

Diners wishing to donate to the foundation can purchase a paper icon for just $1. In return, they'll receive a coupon for a free stack of three buttermilk pancakes.

The coupons are good for the donor's next visit and are available while supplies last.
