NORFOLK, Va. (WVEC) -- Graduates at one Norfolk high school broke a record this year in the dollar amount of college scholarships they received!

The class of 2017 at Norview High School received $21 million in scholarships collectively.

According to Khalilah LeGrand, the Senior Director of Communications for Norfolk Public Schools, she said some of the school's students individually received more than $1 million.

There are 368 students in Norview's graduating class this year.

Granby High School's class of 2017 had 124 graduates and received $12 million in scholarships.

Graduates from these and other Norfolk-area schools received their high school diplomas on Monday at the Ted Constant Convocation Center.
