Virginia Beach, Va. (WVEC) – A 22-year-old woman is accused of stabbing her husband during an argument that may have been about diapers, according to court documents.

Shatoine Gray was arrested and charged with malicious wounding and possession with intent to distribute marijuana. After her arrest, police found a marijuana grow operation in Gray's home.

Court documents said a witness saw Gray chasing her husband while carrying a pack of diapers. That passerby noticed the victim running, covered in blood.

The witness let the victim get into his vehicle, and he also took him to the hospital.

According to court documents, while heading there the victim said, "I can’t believe she did this over a pack of diapers and me being late.”

"I've been here 17 years and I've never heard of anything like that," explained a nearby neighbor.

According to documents, while at the hospital the victim refused to provide the detective with details on what exactly happened.

Gray, the one accused of stabbing her husband was very concerned about his injuries. She called Sentara Leigh Hospital several times to see how he was doing before he was transported to Sentara Norfolk General.

Police eventually showed up to Gray’s house, where she was immediately arrested.

Documents say after her arrest, Gray reportedly asked the detective to go into her house and get her baby. During a protective sweep, the detective found a marijuana grow operation inside.
