NORFOLK, Va. — Police are working to learn the motive behind an early-morning shooting in Norfolk that landed one man in the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Officers were sent to the 700 block of West Little Creek Road around 4 a.m. Friday after hearing about a gunshot disturbance.
They arrived to find a man with a gunshot wound. Medics rushed him to a nearby hospital. Currently, the man is in critical, but stable condition.
Authorities arrested Joseph E. Riddick, 34, and charged him with aggravated malicious wounding and use of a firearm.
Riddick is being held in the Norfolk City Jail with no bond.
No other details have been released at this time.
