NORFOLK, Va. (WVEC) --- Police are asking for the public's help identifying a Norfolk 7-Eleven robber.

According to police, early Thursday morning the suspect entered the convenience store at 3235 Chesapeake Boulevard.

Around 3:30 a.m. the man displayed a handgun and demanded money from the cashier. The clerk complied and the suspect fled the scene.

Authorities say two employees were in the store at the time of the robbery and no one was injured.

Police describe the suspect as a black man wearing a white construction hat, clear protective glasses, a dark colored hooded sweatshirt, dark colored pants, red shoes, and a camouflage cloth covering his face.
