NORFOLK, Va. (WVEC) -- Norfolk police are searching for an 'armed and dangerous' man wanted for second-degree murder.

Two people have already been charged with in connection with the homicide on Orchid Avenue on March 1.

Officers found 25-year-old Patrick M. Cochrane of Suffolk inside a car with a gunshot wound. He was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, where he later died.

Police are searching for the third suspect, Thomas Nesmith, 24, of the 7900 block of Orchid Avenue. He is wanted for second-degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and conspiracy.

Harris, 27, has been charged with second-degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and conspiracy.

Banta, 24, has been charged with second-degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, conspiracy, and accessory to murder. According to family members, she was an ex-girlfriend of Cochrane.

Harris and Banta are being held at the Norfolk City Jail without bond.
