NORFOLK, Va. — Firefighters in Norfolk had to call in extra units so they could swap out personnel to keep them from getting overheated as they fought a fire late Saturday afternoon.
The fire was reported at around 5 p.m. in the 1400 block of Kearney Rd. in the Bayview area.
Units arrived and found smoke and flames coming from the roof of the building, according to a spokesperson.
No injuries were reported, but the spokesperson said extra units were brought to the scene because of the heat.
It took about 15 minutes to bring the fire under control. There were no injuries reported.
