HAMPTON, Va. (WVEC) --- Ahead of the royal wedding, there is a shop in Hampton seeing bigger business.
“Almost sold out of flags,” said Emma Shenk. “Making them proud, I suppose.”
Shenk is talking about her grandparents, the owners of the Best of British shop on Settlers Landing Road.
The college student is running the shop because her parents are in the United Kingdom celebrating the event.
“The royal wedding is definitely a big deal,” said Shenk.
Shenk is making sure all of their customers are getting all the crumpets, scones, biscuits and tea they need for royal wedding watch parties at home.
“Everything in here is authentic,” said Shenk.
The shop plans to open at 10 a.m. Saturday morning, and will likely have extra treats available to celebrate the royal wedding.
