Local Chesapeake grandma is a shop owner, hardcore rapper

"It's added a lot to my life. It's not for everyone, but who cares."

CHESAPEAKE --- Pam Stille runs a boutique art shop in Chesapeake called Three Little Blackbirds.

She’s also a mother of three children and three grandchildren. In her spare time, she likes to listen to, and perform rap music.

“It’s added a lot to my life,” said Stille. “It’s not for everyone, but who cares.”

It’s a hobby that started 15 years ago when Stille was encouraged to get up on stage at the restaurant.

The 63-year-old has been performing ever since.

“It’s just me,” said Stille. “I know I’m different, but I feel I am an artist in some weird way.”

She doesn't expect people to get it, but she hopes they aren’t offended. Stille holds nothing back when it comes to singing the proper lyrics to popular rap and hip-hop songs- that includes almost all of the curse words.

“If you sit and listen to the words and not pay attention to the language it’s a strong story,” said Stille.
