Local nonprofit collects gifts for children in homeless, domestic violence shelters

NORFOLK, Va. (WVEC) — A local non-profit is working to grant the wishes of children in need during the holiday season.

Operation Wish List collects gifts and distributes them to children living in homeless and domestic violence shelters and low-income, transitional and foster homes by referrals only.

The non-profit was founded by Catherine Stanton who is a mother and a domestic violence and sexual assault survivor. The program is offered to help strengthen families and communities.
