CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WVEC) -- Police have identified the woman who was killed Interstate 64 in Chesapeake on Wednesday morning.
Karen Lisa Richey, 50, from Chesapeake lost control of her vehicle, ran off the road and crashed into several trees.
Virginia State Police say the crash happened at about 10:41 a.m. on the eastbound side of I-64, east of Route 17 (Deep Creek).
Police say Richey died at the scene. She was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
All lanes were back open by 1:30 p.m., but a backup of more than 5 miles remained.
