Coliseum Central Holiday Parade to go through Hampton

Bands, organizations, schools, and floats will be making the 1.2-mile route!

HAMPTON, Va. — The Coliseum Central Holiday Parade is this weekend on Saturday!

For 20 years, bands, animal units, drill teams, non-profit organizations, schools, floats and more have marched the 1.2-mile route to promote their organization in front of tens of thousands of people.

The parade kicks off at 9:30 a.m.

The parade will lineup on Hampton Roads Center Parkway then proceed:

  • Down Coliseum Drive
  • Right on Merchant Lane
  • Left on Kilgore Avenue
  • Left on Von Schilling Drive
  • End in Riverpointe Shopping Center

Hampton police said from 6 a.m. until noon, Hampton Roads Center Parkway will be closed to all through traffic to accommodate the parade. Around 9 a.m.,  Coliseum Drive, between Hampton Roads Center Parkway and West Mercury Boulevard, will be closed.

Residents and visitors will still be able to access businesses in the Coliseum Central area, but they should be aware of the road closings and use alternate routes to travel to their destinations. Hampton Sentara Careplex will have its N. Armistead Avenue entrance open for those needing to access its facility.
