HAMPTON, Va. (WVEC) -- Hampton police hope their new half taxi, half police car reminds the public of the consequences drunk driving can have.
The police department released a video showing off the car.
"We want everyone to drink responsibly, designate a designated driver or think ahead and call a cab before you get behind the wheel and make that decision," said Sgt. Matt Bond in the video.
Two price tags are seen on the car. The police side reads $8,100, which represents fines and fees associated with a DUI. The tax side reads $15, which police say is the average cost of a ride home.
