Hampton police searching for two people in connection with shooting, assault

Hampton Police Division said a woman was shot multiple times and a man was assaulted in the incident. Police are looking for two men.

HAMPTON, Va. —

Hampton Police Division is asking the public’s help finding two people in connection with a shooting and assault Wednesday evening.

Around 8:49 p.m., police officers were called to a shooting in the 1st block of Sacramento Drive. 

Officers found a 20-year-old woman with gunshot wounds and a 23-year-old man that had been attacked. Both were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Police said the two victims were inside a home when two unknown people entered, showed a firearm, and assaulted the 23-year-old man.

The two people fire several gunshots and hit the 20-year-old woman multiple times.

Police described the first suspect as a black man with medium skin tone, 20-25 years old, between 5 feet 7 inches and 5 feet 8 inches, weighing about 170 to 180 pounds. He was wearing a black face mask and black hooded jacket.

The other suspect is a black male with light skin, 20 to 25 years of age, between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 11 inches tall, wearing a black face mask and black hooded jacket. Police said he has an unknown tattoo on his neck.
