Police ID person who may have information about Buckroe Beach shooting

Hampton police said they received an "overwhelming public response" and were able to identify the person in the photo.

HAMPTON, Va. — Hampton Police Division thanked the public's help identifying a person who may have information about the shooting at Buckroe Beach last weekend.

Four people, including two children, were shot on June 22.

Police said in a tweet that they received an "overwhelming public response" and were able to identify the person in the photo.

Hampton Police said a 12-year-old boy is still in the hospital in stable condition. The other three gunshot victims -- a 7-year-old girl, a 31-year-old woman, and a 52-year-old man -- suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
