HAMPTON, Va. (WVEC) -- Authorities are working to learn more about a deadly hit-and-run incident where a woman was fatally struck by a car in a Hampton parking lot early Saturday morning.

We're told dispatch received several calls regarding a pedestrian hit by a car shortly after 2 a.m. in the 400 block of Woodview Lane.

Arriving officers found a woman suffering from life-threatening injuries at that location.

She was transported to a nearby hospital where she later died.

Later Saturday, police identified her as 32-year-old Saskia Elizabeth Reneau.

So far, investigators determined that the victim was in a parking lot when she was struck by a white Dodge sedan.

The car fled the scene prior to police arrival.

Police have identified the suspect wanted in connection to this incident as 32-year-old Kevin Ajay Ellerbe. He currently has warrants on file for one count of Felony Hit and Run. He was last seen operating a 2008 cream-colored Dodge Charger.

Circumstances surrounding this incident remain under investigation.
