NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WVEC) -- Police are investigating an overnight shooting in Newport News
The shooting happened in the 1000 block of 23rd Street and Roanoke Avenue, just before 1 a.m.
According to police, a 26-year-old man was getting out of his car when he was hit in the leg by a bullet.
He was taken to the hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
