Police identify man shot, killed in Newport News

The man was taken to a hospital where he later died. There is no suspect information at this time.

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — Newport News police are investigating a shooting that left one man dead Saturday.

A call of gunshots heard came in around 1:39 a.m. near Arden Drive. Minutes later officers found a man injured from a gunshot wound in the 550 block of Adams Drive.

The man was taken to a hospital where he later died around 2:41 a.m., police said. He was identified Sunday morning by police as 28-year-old Brion Chino Crawley of Newport News.

There is no suspect information and police are still investigating the shooting.
