NORFOLK, Va. — It's official, ALDI stores are coming to Norfolk.
However, the grocery store chain did not confirm where the stores will be or when an opening should be expected.
“We are excited to confirm opening ALDI stores in Norfolk is the next phase of our Hampton Roads expansion plans,” said ALDI Petersburg Division Vice President Chris Daniels.
In December 2018, there were two conditional use permits submitted by ALDI to the City of Norfolk’s Planning Commission. If approved, a store could move into the former Farm Fresh on 21st Street and N. Military Highway.
According to the Virginian-Pilot, the N. Military Highway location is the site next to the JANAF Shopping Center in Norfolk.
