NORFOLK, Va. (WVEC) — Police are investigating a double shooting and home break-in in Norfolk early Thursday morning.

Police did not confirm if both scenes are connected.

One person was found with a gunshot wound to the face at Jacox Elementary School at 1300 Marshall Avenue around 2:34 a.m., according to a dispatch supervisor.

Another person walked in to a local emergency room with a gunshot wound — that victim is connected to the Marshall Avenue incident, dispatch confirmed.

Across the street — at 1420 Goff Street — from the elementary school, there was a reported home break-in, dispatch said.

Police were also at that scene investigating.
