NORFOLK, Va. — The Norfolk Forum will welcome former First Lady Laura Bush as the final speaker of the event.

The sold-out event is on Thursday, April 4th at downtown Norfolk’s Chrysler Hall. This will be The Norfolk Forum’s 86th consecutive season.

The Norfolk Forum is the oldest publicly-subscribed speakers’ forum in the country. Each season, the Forum presents four thought-provoking public figures who, in different ways, help shape American thought and opinion.

During her speech, the former First Lady Laura Bush will discuss her time as First Lady of the United States, her passion for education, and her current initiatives at the George W. Bush Institute.  There will be a question and answer session after her lecture moderated by Cathy Lewis.

In previous years, The Norfolk Form had speakers including the former director of the FBI James Comey, best-selling author Michael Lewis, and former White House CIO and cybersecurity expert Theresa Payton.

While tickets for Mrs. Bush’s appearance are currently sold-out, The Norfolk Forum has created a Wait List and is accepting names, via email only, at contact@thenorfolkforum.org.
