Two men shot during Norfolk home invasion

Police learned that two men were armed with handguns when they attempted a home invasion on Goff Street.

Two men were shot during a home invasion in Norfolk on Thursday morning.

Around 2:30 a.m. police were called to the 1300 block of Marshall Avenue for a person possibly suffering from a gunshot wound.

On the scene, officers found a man with a life-threatening gunshot wound. He was transported by medics to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

Shortly after that, another man walked into SNGH with a non-life threatening gunshot wound.

After investigating, police learned that the two men were armed with handguns when they attempted a home invasion in the 1400 block of Goff Street. The men sustained gunshot wounds and fled the scene.
