PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WVEC) -- Investigators are looking into what may have sparked a fire inside a vacant duplex in Portsmouth on Thursday morning.
Firefighters were called to the 400 block of Broad Street at 10:42 a.m. Arriving firefighters saw smoke rising from the building when they arrived.
Crews were able to quickly extinguish the fire, and no injuries are reported.
A spokesperson with the Portsmouth Fire Department said the building is a vacant duplex that is up for sale. Investigators are working to determine a cause of the fire, which they do not believe to be suspicious in nature.
