PORTSMOUTH, Va. — Portsmouth Detectives are investigating after an early morning shooting left one man dead.
Police received a call around 6:52 a.m. Monday requesting police and medical assistance in the 10 block of Park Manor Road for a man who had been shot.
When police arived, they found 24-year-old Derrick Parker suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body.
Medics took Parker to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police will hold a RESET walk in the area on Tuesday at 2 p.m.
