Portsmouth restaurant week showcases gourmet specialties

From January 26 to February 1, the old port city is showing off its culinary diversity.

PORTSMOUTH, Va. — Bon Appétit!

Portsmouth Restaurant Week is right around the corner! From January 26 to February 1, the old port city is showing off its culinary diversity.

Participating restaurants will offer special menus with options for two-course lunches at $10 or $15 and three-course dinners at $25 or $35.

JoJack’s Expresso Bar & Café, located in Churchland has been in Portsmouth for 13 years. For Portsmouth Restaurant Week, one of the restaurant’s specialties, stuffed pork loin, will be on the menu. Gosport Tavern, in Olde Towne Portsmouth on High Street, will offer lunch and dinner specials and to wash it all down – craft beers. The Bier Garden is a family-owned establishment that offers an assortment of food and beer.

"Designed to draw new customers and existing ones, Portsmouth Restaurant Week is a time for the city “to show off its wide variety of gourmet specialties,” said Danielle Babcheck from Portsmouth Hospitality, the organization coordinating Portsmouth Restaurant Week.
