PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WVEC) -- Police are working to track down a man who brazenly robbed a 7-Eleven convenience store Tuesday evening at knifepoint.

Officers were dispatched just before 9 p.m. to a store located at 3500 Victory Blvd.

Detectives say the suspect ran into the store, jumped over the counter, displayed a large knife, then demanded money from the register.

The clerk complied and the suspect fled the location on foot.

No one was injured during the incident.

The suspect is described as a black male who was last seen wearing a medical mask, blue pants, a red shirt and white shoes.
